Artist's Description

Contrasting colors in landscape planning will make a dramatic statement. Walking through my neighborhood is a delight through all seasons as this concept is employed. So I stop and look around! Spring in greeted by pink cherry and white pear blossoms. Hot pink, vivid scarlet adorn crepe myrtle trees in Summer. Fall brings the gold, red, yellow leaves that kiss the side walk as the wind sails them along.

Richard Thomas

I was born Richard Thomas 70 years ago in Southern California. Art has always been my passion, especially painting with acrylics, oils or water color. As well as drawing. Studied architectural drafting and design at San Bernardino Valley Junior College between 1968 and 1970. In the Fall of 1970, I chose a different vocation. By June of 2004, Richard Thomas retired from the retail meat cutting trade. After all my chores were done at home I started another career working in a local camera shop in 2006 to supplement my retirement income, where I was exposed to another art form - painting WITH light.
