Sundial bridge touching the sky at sundown, fisherman trying to catch a trophy, all making the most with the time that has been given to them. Like a giant wrist watch, Sundial bridge displays the daytime hours for visitors staying on the path. Though the time display is very large, the passage of time is still counted the same - hours, minutes, months, days - all moving in the same direction; forward! It is here I realize my camera not only keeps time, it records the past; albeit in stills and video, in one's and zeros for digital three dimensional imagery but never the future.

I was born Richard Thomas 70 years ago in Southern California. Art has always been my passion, especially painting with acrylics, oils or water color. As well as drawing. Studied architectural drafting and design at San Bernardino Valley Junior College between 1968 and 1970. In the Fall of 1970, I chose a different vocation. By June of 2004, Richard Thomas retired from the retail meat cutting trade. After all my chores were done at home I started another career working in a local camera shop in 2006 to supplement my retirement income, where I was exposed to another art form - painting WITH light.
