As Spring rapidly fades into yesterday it is important to focus on today. Seize the day, don't waste the sand of time the is set before you! Ambient light attracted me to set aside some backyard chores to capture this photographic opportunity. The glass table top received a new umbrella that may be seen in other images in this gallery. The umbrella was translucent light blue that defused the hard sunlight at noon. The glass table top bounced that light to the surrounding objects you see in the captured moment.
I was born Richard Thomas 70 years ago in Southern California. Art has always been my passion, especially painting with acrylics, oils or water color. As well as drawing. Studied architectural drafting and design at San Bernardino Valley Junior College between 1968 and 1970. In the Fall of 1970, I chose a different vocation. By June of 2004, Richard Thomas retired from the retail meat cutting trade. After all my chores were done at home I started another career working in a local camera shop in 2006 to supplement my retirement income, where I was exposed to another art form - painting WITH light.
