Mallards paddling on creek, flowing fresh from rain storm are suddenly spooked by hikers and dog; launch themselves toward a blue Autumn sky with a force powerful enough to defy gravity's tug, leaving a wake below on the water that will smooth out due to Earth's gravitational strength.

I was born Richard Thomas 70 years ago in Southern California. Art has always been my passion, especially painting with acrylics, oils or water color. As well as drawing. Studied architectural drafting and design at San Bernardino Valley Junior College between 1968 and 1970. In the Fall of 1970, I chose a different vocation. By June of 2004, Richard Thomas retired from the retail meat cutting trade. After all my chores were done at home I started another career working in a local camera shop in 2006 to supplement my retirement income, where I was exposed to another art form - painting WITH light.
