Winter weather bringing the much need rain. Rivers of moisture flying through the sky all by design, heading Southward. Ponds, lakes, reservoirs, large and small wait for the rain. Nature, beautiful to behold, dangerous to be trifled with. The bright side of grey clouds are the patterns and colors, like an artist's brush masterfully texturing the sky.

I was born Richard Thomas 70 years ago in Southern California. Art has always been my passion, especially painting with acrylics, oils or water color. As well as drawing. Studied architectural drafting and design at San Bernardino Valley Junior College between 1968 and 1970. In the Fall of 1970, I chose a different vocation. By June of 2004, Richard Thomas retired from the retail meat cutting trade. After all my chores were done at home I started another career working in a local camera shop in 2006 to supplement my retirement income, where I was exposed to another art form - painting WITH light.
