Artist's Description

A rare site on the 400+ acre private reserve for endangered species. These animals know how and where to hide. During the Tubbs (2017) and Kincade (2019) firestorms; the Ankole-Watusi cattle's survival mode served them well. In this photo, bull, calf, cow; the Ankole-Watusi make their way to the large reservoir to quench a thirst brought on by 3 digit temperature. The name of the cattle is derived from the Ankole group of Sanga cattle breeds of central Africa characterized by very large horns. The Ankole-Watusi were imported to Germany as zoo specimens in the early twentieth century. (Photographed at Safari West, Santa Rosa, CA,USA.)Image captured while on tour 2010; herd of Watusi Longhorn Cattle, walking toward one of the reservoirs used to supply drinking water on the 400 acre Safari West's wild protected, endangered animal preserve.

Digital photography makes it incredibly simple to capture the beauty of God's creation. The digital camera I earned by selling 22 units of...
